Every feature of The Wade was designed to maximize the value of being home, as well as the freedom to explore the neighborhood and beyond.
The Wade was created for a unique spot tucked in a storied Raleigh neighborhood, with convenient access to downtown and beyond. The architecture was inspired by classic, elegantly detailed Pre-war buildings, appropriately scaled for its prominent location at the corner of St Mary’s Street and Wade Avenue in historic Hayes Barton, near the gateway to Cameron Village.
Feeling right at home.
Inside the residences, solid brick walls gave way to open floor plans, 10’ ceilings and light-flooded living spaces. But the attention to detail remained, in things both seen (premium cabinetry and finishes) and not heard (state-of-the-art acoustic technology in the walls and floors).

Created with intention.
The Wade was built in pursuit of an important ideal: that the place you live should be more than the sum of its parts (no matter how distinctive). To that end, the carefully chosen amenities combined modern-day convenience with classic comfort and welcoming charm. And the exquisite living spaces expanded to include an owners’ retreat with large fireplace and custom millwork, and a landscaped rooftop terrace with expansive views in all directions.
A walkable neighborhood in a vibrant city.
Hayes Barton has a character all its own, giving residents the opportunity to choose how to connect with the world: one minute, the energy and interaction of dining and shopping, arts and culture; the calm and quiet of tree-lined streets the next.
